Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
Mesmerized,
I stare
at this tiny miracle,
sitting right here
a few feet from me,
the size
of my thumb,
the weight
of a dime,
a fully-grown
living being
just a few
weeks old,
so casually,
unhurriedly,
readying himself
to fly 2,000 miles,
to a place
he has never been
to spend the winter
and then return.
I feel a little stunned,
my mind reels,
trying to grasp
the enormity
of the marvels
of this world.
