Whenever
By Monique Nicole Fox

Whenever I pat a dog or cat pet,
Whenever I seek a tree for shade,
Whenever I walk on some green grass,
Whenever I run my feet through some beach sand,
Whenever I gaze at the blue sky, stars or moon,
Whenever the rain that quenches the earth,
Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I see. I ponder.
And I remember God’s covenant and treaty with all beings including me.
Many poems get written; lots of poetry.

Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth. ~Genesis 9:16~
