NATUREI love the silent, magic times
When Nature hugs me near
I sit in silky grasses
And She whispers in my ear;
My nostrils fill with smell of earth
Of pine and moss and flower
I sit and watch Her loveliness
Hour after hour;
Sunlight through Her lofty trees
Beams of burning light
A butterfly sits resting near
Pretty, fragile, bright..
I forget the hours passing
As the birds go flying by
And wind in Her leggy pines
Gently to me sigh....
I feel close to God here
I feel His Holy Hand
From above He reaches down
And blesses this rich land;
He touches all the oceans
And they turn blue like the sky
And with His guiding Love
He helps the birds to fly;
I love to see His mountains
Stand in their snowy dress
Nature's colors in the fall
Comes from God's caress;
When Nature hugs me near to Her
God whispers in my ear
I sit with all the good He's made
There's nothing else so dear......
