7/23/07: ULAM PE: mild alopecia on both lower limbs, missing pl and p2 on D3 of R forelimb (not new), menses on 711 8, normal rectal, reddened flaky skin probably due to jacket collar, mild tartar.

1/15/07: ULAM PE: moderate abdominal fat, 3 or 4 round palpable masses on abdomen feel SC moveable, mild tartar, polyp-like growths around rectum, mild-moderate alopecia on hindlimbs, missing P1 on D3 R forlimb (not new).
9/20/06: ULAM physical exam and allopecia check: skin scaly, allopecia on both forelimbs, '4cm round moveable mass on abdomen, round polyp-like masses around anus, prominenet vulva~clitoris, keratinized area between ischial callosities, mild tartar,mass evaluated, aspirate taken during cage change 10/4/06.
7/06: ULAM allopecia check
8/8/06: blood draw results for b-virus exposure indicate positive titers.
3/27/06: ULAM PE-missing report.

Rats, mice, birds, amphibians and other animals have been excluded from coverage by the Animal Welfare Act. Therefore research facility reports do not include these animals. As a result of this situation, a blank report, or one with few animals listed, does not mean that a facility has not performed experiments on non-reportable animals. A blank form does mean that the facility in question has not used covered animals (primates, dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, pigs, sheep, goats, etc.). Rats and mice alone are believed to comprise over 90% of the animals used in experimentation. Therefore the majority of animals used at research facilities are not even counted.
