All of these animals have intrinsic value, seek attention and affection, form bonds with friends, care about their babies, feel emotions, can experience pain, and want to live. You are the reason for the pain and suffering until you make the intentional decision to stop being a part of it.

If I were breeding and slaughtering dogs, cats, and horses for a
living, I would be considered an evil, heartless scumbag. But
somehow, people who breed and slaughter pigs, cows, and chickens are
considered honorable, hard-working heroes? If you condemn the
“scumbag” and praise the “hero,” please think about that moral
inconsistency. Please don’t support suffering and violence to any
animals.
All of these animals have intrinsic value, seek attention and
affection, form bonds with friends, care about their babies, feel
emotions, can experience pain, and want to live. Please don’t
dismiss thinking about the actual living beings who create and
become your “food." Please acknowledge your responsibility for the
suffering and violence, and then simply make better choices that are
consistent with who you are.
Yes, of course it’s difficult to accept what you have been
supporting for your entire life, and you will feel tremendous guilt
and regret when you finally fully grasp that you have been
responsible for misery and terror inflicted on countless gentle,
harmless animals. But pretending the pain and suffering isn’t
happening doesn’t mean that you aren’t causing it. In fact, you are
the reason for the pain and suffering until you make the intentional
decision to stop being a part of it.
Living vegan is very healthy, enjoyable, and actually quite easy
these days. If you need help figuring out what to eat and how to
live vegan, simply ask a vegan! ASK THE PERSON WHO SHARED THIS POST,
EVEN IF YOU AREN’T FRIENDS. We’ve all been through this process. We
will help you! We want to help you, not just because we care about
the animals—but also because we care about YOU. We know that you
don’t want to be contributing to this senseless suffering and
slaughter. That’s not who you are!!
Every day it gets easier to live vegan, because vegan products and
services are becoming more available and accessible every day. There
are affordable, healthy, plant-based alternatives that taste exactly
the same as meat, dairy, and eggs. You just have to look for these
products.
Being vegan is simply about being compassionate. Please stop paying
for all of that suffering and slaughter. All vegans will tell you
that they wish they had gone vegan sooner.
