I kept telling you it was Ok and that I loved you and thanked each part of your body for helping you live these past 11 years.
And please read This Loving Soul on His 10th Birthday, August 18, 2021!

I woke up this morning at 5:56 when I would normally get out of bed to feed
you your medications.
I rubbed up against your harness I’ve had next to me ever since your long
time vet Dr May came last night to make “the house call.”
I held you all day yesterday after the ER gave your oxygen. I held you last night when it felt you were leaving your vessel on your own. You kept trying to be strong and stay here. I kept telling you it was Ok and that I loved you and thanked each part of your body for helping you live these past 11 years.
As I type this, we would have normally been outside for your morning walk. We would have seen the sun rising above the trees in just moments.
Instead, I lay next to your empty harness that still smells like the sweet Langston you’ve always been.

THANK YOU for saving my life all those years ago. Thank you for all the loving eye contact. Thank you for being here. I love you, lovely Langston.
You told me you wanted to leave yesterday morning on the way to the ER as I held you in my arms pulled over to the side of the road. I saw you looking out to a surrounding only you could see.
I promised I wouldn’t keep you here if you wanted to go, and last night your breathing and heart rate made it clear it was time to go.
I noticed the waxing crescent moon above us on your last potty I carried you outside to do and I giggled with glee since it’s such a symbolic phase of moon to me. Now I will have you attached to its significance, as well.
Letting your soul free from a vessel who could no longer host you, you are now e v e r y where — no longer encased. I love you more than words can say. Thank you for being here. Thank you for anchoring me to this Earth. I love you and I shall do the best I can without you here.
The tufts of flowing ear hair I clipped from your empty vessel last night still smells like you.
Enjoy the sun rise, my sweet soul. I shall see YOU in it’s rays every morning I wake up here.
I love you, Lovely Langston beautiful soul.
