Hi Karen:
Blessing to you!
You mentioned your church and the discussion on caring for creation, and
your frustration for the dismissal of how we eat being related to our care
of creation. I educate on food often because it is a part of my job and also
because of my lifestyle. People are extremely emotional about food. My
personal opinion is that food is largely an addiction for most. So not
unlike taking heroin from a heroin addict, it's a pretty big deal. I
believe people don't want to even discuss the issue because they know in
their hearts it is going to mean sacrifice on their part.
A little confusing because I think the central message of Jesus is sacrifice
and everybody is claiming Christianity..but hey..I give up trying to figure
that out.
