Demo at Temple University School of Medical Research
Saturday, April 28, 2007
Time:  12pm-2pm
Location:  Temple University School of Medical Research, 3420 N. Broad St. (Broad & Ontario) Philadelphia, PA 19122

Temple University conducts cruel and unnecessary experiments on animals in the name of science. For substance abuse research and other issues, they experiment on mice, rats, cats, dogs and sheep.  Our director attended a workshop for teachers hosted by Temple University. One of Temple's medical research doctors spoke of the non- sterilized room where surgery on rats takes place. She stated that the room did not need to be sterilized because rats and mice are not covered under the Animal Welfare Act and because people don't like them (rats and mice), you can get away with a lot more.

Rat Chick Rat Rescue and Advocacy Group
March of Dimes Walk America Leafleting Event
Sunday, April 29, 2007
Begins at 8 am -  at the Philadelphia Art Museum.

Note:  The March of Dimes funds cruel and unnecessary animal experimentation. The people who are walking (in support of MoD) think they are doing something good. Please attend and educate them that they do not have to hurt one baby to help another.

Come out for as long as you can. The animals you will be leafleting on behalf of do not care if you can only come for 30 minutes. All that matters is that you attend.

Registration for the walk starts at 8am. The 6.8 mile walk starts at 9am and lasts for several hours. We would like to be there as walkers begin to arrive. Please email us for more info.

Additional information and action alert:  Click Here
Note:  MOD spends about $30 million annually on cruel, repetitive and irrelevant animal experiments that have not produced benefits to babies and mothers. Meanwhile, the U.S. sinks lower and lower in world rankings for premature births, birth defects, newborn and infant mortality, and maternal mortality – shamefully near the bottom of industrialized nations. We are asking MOD to redirect this wasteful and inhumane funding to human-based research and programs proven to improve the health of babies and mothers.
(Please see action alert for additional details.)
