Animal Rights Protest
From CBS 5 News in Syracuse, NY
Apr 29, 2006 - About 22 people organized by People for Animal Rights protested animal testing today outside of the Bristol-Myers-Squibb laboratories in East Syracuse. The protesters says the central New York plant conducts painful and unnecessary tests on animals -- including dogs, guinea pigs and primates -- in their lab. The pharmaceutical company's spokeswoman Jayne O'Connor said that 91 percent of animals tested on by the company are rodents. She declined to say what other animals were used on the site.
