Bumble Bee on Begonia

For the past several years we have been planting varieties of small begonias in the window boxes on the deck sides of our home. Shortly after we planted our flowers this year, this bumble bee came to investigate the new "goodies" we had set out for her to enjoy. We hope you enjoy her visit as much as we did.
So often our fears of the unknown drive us to kill those God-created beings we don't understand. For example, the last thing a bee wants to do is sting us, for when it does, it usually dies. It only stings to protect the hive or its own life. Because I was unthreatening, this bee let me get within a couple of inches to take this photo.
