Educate Rush & Molloy-NY Daily News

This article appeared on 1/13/05 in the RUSH & MOLLOY column, NY Daily News, www.nydailynews.com  under the heading "Jellie's last Jam":

Nearly 100 rare moon jellyfish occupying an 800 gallon tank in the fine dining establishment DUVET expired last weekend when a mischief- maker turned off one of the valves that circulate air through the water.

These jellyfish, being the divas of the marine world that they are, require a caretaker who ensures they are fed twice a day and that the circulation in the tank is working properly.  They die if the water pressure drops and they touch the glass.

After the valves were turned off, it took only moments for the slimy creatures to die.

Some at the restaurant think foul play may have been involved.  "We're keeping a much closer eye on it now to keep the new ones safe."

Please ask Rush and Molloy why they would insult ('slimy' divas' 'jellie's last jam') these little beings who harmed no one - the 'slimy' ones are the creeps who killed them.  And killing these living beings who were stolen from their natural home isn't 'mischief.'
