Larchmont contracts with USDA for
oiling only; contats still needed
April 30, 2013
The Village of
Larchmont, NY has contracted with the USDA on April 25, 2013. The stated
purpose of the contract is to 'conduct population surveys' and conduct two
egg oilings/piercing at a cost of $3300.00
(Copy of Contract attached).
There is no mention of slaughter in the contract.
Our first alert
on this topic was sent on April 12, 2013; it is possible that your outreach
kept this contract from including killing, which could have been added - but
was not.
In any case, please continue to make polite, informative
contacts to Mayor McAndrews and the Larchmont BOT. There is a BOT meeting
on May 13 which will be announced beforehand.
