Public meeting to discuss possible plans to 'cull' deer

From: Animal Defenders of Westchester (ADOW)
August 20, 2014

There will be a public meeting to discuss possible plans to 'cull' deer in some Westchester parks using bow hunting; shotgun fire is not allowed in this county.

The public will be allowed to speak at this meeting. Please attend if possible and inform officials you do not want your tax dollars spent on killing innocents, that bow hunting is the worst kind of cruelty, and that Westchester must learn to coexist and use non-lethal methods as are being used in Hastings, NY.

NOTE: Kitchawan Park has already been excluded from this hunt due to public safety concerns raised by dog walkers.
