On Sept 9, 2019 we met with Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano and Councilmember John Rubbo to initiate banning traveling animal act legislation there.
Since the subject of banning balloon releases - which are harmful to
birds and the environment - was also brought up, the mayor suggested both
items be presented together to the city council as one 'Environmental Bill.'
We are happy to announce that this bill passed on April 14! To view
the bill visit:

Please thank Spano and Rubbo for their work in passing this great bill!
Mayor Spano has always supported animal issues, even as an Assembymember.

input and assistance at the meeting.
