ACTION: MAKE ONE PHONE CALL TO STOP PUPPY MILLS AND HORSE SLAUGHTER IN NYS

In addition to the puppy mill bill, the bill protecting race horses has passed the NYS senate.

Bill A.9989 prohibits race horse slaughter, requires they be microchipped (there are currently few methods to track them) and permits gifts for thoroughbred aftercare on tax forms.

Bill A6298.A;will end the sale of puppies, cats and rabbits in NYS pet shops.; Pet sales only account for 2% of the net profits in stores. The majority of sales are from supplies & services, such as grooming.

PLEASE CONTACT;the Chair of the Agriculture Committee, Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo and politely ask her to vote the puppy mill bill and the bill to end race horse slaughter out of the Agriculture Committee so they can be voted on by the entire Assembly. This committee previously rejected all AR bills before them - but did pass a bill that;“vests jurisdiction over automobile tire inflation machines with the state.” Remind her we are voters too; in 2020 we expect our representatives to enact positive changes for;animals.

Progress is being made thanks;to you! Thank you for always speaking for those who cannot.
