Please call New York State Agriculture Committee Chair Donna Lupardo at her Albany Office. Ask her to vote the "Puppy Mill Pipeline Act" out of Committee for a vote by the entire New York State Legislature to stop cruel, abusive puppy mills in New York State.
You do not need to be a New York resident to call:

EMAIL: [email protected]
NOTE: We have been told that the person answering Representative Lupardo's Albany phone is countering with 'concern' for pet shop owners' livelihoods.
Two points:
1) New York State Legislators are not lobbyists for any business.
2) According to Best Friends Animal Society (which has done a lot of
outreach on this issue), almost 300 venues in the U.S. and Canada have
passed puppy mill restrictions, and pet shops have successfully converted to
puppy-free food, supplies, toys facilities instead.

3) In 2021, Governments are addressing and passing humane legislation; it is unacceptable that Representative Lupardo is not even putting this bill up for a vote.
