New York State Bill Will Help Stop Adoptable Animals from Being Killed in Shelters

Dr. Deborah Tanzer has been reporting on the constant, outrageous slaughter of healthy adoptable animals by the NY Animal Care and Control shelter - for both not making them available for adoption and ignoring rescuers/adopters who are able and ready to save these animals.

She writes

'Please support SARA, the Shelter Animal Rescue Act in New York, Assembly Bill A7155, which will make it illegal to kill any animal for whom a home or rescue is available.. Please call and tell your NY state reps to cosponsor A.7155, the Shelter Animal Rescue Act (SARA). Find your legislators -

'No animal should be killed, but this will be a huge step in transforming the horrific kill-happy NYC Animal "Care" and Control (aka Animal "Care" Centers).

'In 2019 The NY Post ran an article with undercover video about this shelter, entitled 'Whimpering dog dragged to euthanasaia room in heartbreaking video.'
