Pheasant 'breeding' programs aren't for 'regular' hunting - they're for
the NYS Dept of Environmental Conservation's disgraceful canned hunt of
these almost flightless birds - who are hand-raised and released out of
crates to be directly shot and killed at the moment of release by fake
'hunters.' Rep Deborah Glick and others have previously introduced bills
banning canned hunts; we will discuss with them as well. The 'workshop' was
held on 3/11; Cornell needs to promote humane activities and terminate its
relationship to the NYSDEC.
PLEASE POLITELY ASK CORNELL TO STOP THEIR INVOLVEMENT IN ANY MORE OF THIS

ALSO CONTACT NYSDEC - THE NYSDEC MAKES MONEY OFF THESE HORRIBLE 'HUNTS.'
CURRENT COMMISSIONER BASIL SEGGOS IS LEAVING; THE NYSDEC NEEDS TO HEAR FROM
US WHEN SEEKING HIS REPLACEMENT.
