Yesterday, June 25 on Ch 9 WOR News, they reported on a
N.J. sheep farm that was being 'threatened' by coyotes in the area.
The owner of the farm, Elaine Abrams, was photographed
cuddling baby lambs so sweetly, while she called upon the Bureau of Fish and
Wildlife to bring in sharpshooters to kill the coyotes, so her sheep would
be safe. The newscast stressed the how beautiful the lambs were, and
mentioned repeatedly that it was only a matter of time till a child were
killed.
Of course there was no mention of the fact that, rather
than being their benefactor, the sheep provide this woman's living, that she
shears them, then kills them herself. The news coverage made it appear she
was running a sheep shelter. News programs aren't supposed to be free
advertising for animal abusers, though they frequently are.
