Tuckahoe, N.Y.: Re “Manhattan woman victim of gruesome shark attack” (July 28). The shark didn’t “savagely kill” a Manhattan woman — he was just looking for dinner in his own home.
That’s like saying shoppers going into a supermarket are “savagely attacking” it, when the fact is they’re just getting food.
At a time when people are demanding our words, images, product names etc. be changed from being dangerous and prejudicial to show honesty, facts and truth, correct descriptions of animals should be included.
