People for Animal Rights (PAR) is sponsoring a
symposium, "Ushering Compassion into the Next Millennium", on Saturday,
October 30th at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park,
Kansas.
The speakers scheduled for this event are Howard Lyman,
founder of Voice for a Viable Future and newly-appointed president of
EarthSave; Dr. Karen Davis, founder and president of United Poultry
Concerns; Pamela Frasch, director of the Anti-Cruelty Division for the
Animal Legal Defense Fund; J.P. Goodwin, president of Coalition to
Abolish the Fur Trade; Heidi Prescott, National Director of The Fund for
Animals; and Dr. Ray Greek, president of Americans for Medical
Advancement.
The Symposium begins promptly at 8:30 a.m and is
scheduled to close at 5:30 p.m.
Admission is $15 and an additional $5 for a gourmet
vegan lunch buffet.
