(Auburn, CA) --The Placer County Animal Shelter will be
open Saturdays from 10-12am and 1-5pm at 11251 B Ave. (DeWitt Center),
Auburn for Adopt a Shelter Animal Month. The public is encouraged to
adopt a puppy, dog, cat or kitten and give them a good home.
"We will be opening the facility with volunteers to help
find loving homes for these abandoned critters," says Rosemary Frieborn,
President of Friends of Placer County Animal Shelter. The group began
twelve months ago and has provided both physical and financial support
to the shelter and its animals.
Volunteers are also needed to exercise shelter dogs and
to socialize, pet and groom cats and kittens. Whatever time you can give
will help the animals. Call about the PetPals program at (530) 887-5520
