November is "Adopt a Turkey'' month. Farm Sanctuary, a
nonprofit organization devoted to providing shelter for rescued farm
animals, has thousands of families every year adopt a turkey at
Thanksgiving time. Turkey adopters will receive a photo of the adopted
rescued turkey that their donation will help feed and shelter, while
saving lives and changing minds about compassion for all animals.
