We are faced with an extreme moral dilemma. Which crime offers more pain? The killing of one cow in America with a bow and arrow for "sport" or the daily slaughter of 28 million animals for food.
The actors on Criminal Minds are aware that serial killers often graduate to committing crimes against humans after first torturing and killing animals.
On July 3, 2010, Michigan dairyman Robert Boeve made a horrifying discovery. One of his cows had been shot multiple times with arrows and left in the field to die. Boeve immediately offered a $5,000 reward for the capture of his cow's killer.
The $5,000 reward motivated a young boy to cash in on his friends. He told his mother that 17-year-old Kody Richardson shined a flashlight on the cow while 18-year-old Jared Kaltenbach fired arrows into the animal's body. Richardson later confirmed the accusation.
Both young men have been accused of torturing and killing an animal.
Another witness has come forward to report that the killers boasted that they were going on a "big game hunt." Some game...
The killers are now claiming self-defense, despite the fact that they trespassed on the cow's field by having to climb through an electrified fence in order to get close enough for the kill.

I can imagine the pain suffered by a cow in a field. I cannot imagine the cumulative pain and cries of 27 million dying animals who have their throats cut each and every day.
