With each ordinance that passes around the U.S., exploiters are denied a venue. With each venue (city, county) that stands up and says "Not on our watch," another nail is driven into the coffin of performing animal slavery.
Missoula leads the way in Montana by banning wild and exotic animal acts in the city!

Heartfelt THANK YOUs go to many: the City Council members who stood firmly on the side of compassion and justice; the Missoula citizens (including a law professor at the University of Montana) who proposed the ordinance and worked for its passage; and the many from Missoula and surrounding counties who, with smiles on their faces, stood on the front lines at the Shrine and Carson & Barnes circuses for many years past--raising awareness while often facing scorn from circus-goers.
Standing up for the vulnerable, oppressed, and exploited--regardless of species--is always the right thing to do.
Thank you, Missoula and western Montanans!
