We are used to seeing calves and cows lassoed, thrown to the ground, their feet tied so and then forced to endure third degree burns with no anesthetic, no concern for their well-being. All to brand them to establish ownership, establishing them as someone’s property.

What is not as well-known is the horrible practice of branding and ear tagging dairy cows. The same lack of concern for each animal is made explicitly clear in this video. And there doesn’t seem to be any regard for what might be the consequences of such pain on the production of milk and yogurt and ice cream and butter, for which they are so cruelly enslaved.
