One morning, Jeffrey didnt come home for breakfast. I was on the front step, trying to decide what to do next, very concerned that hed run into these two dogs who were known to attack other dogs. Then, Mickey appeared alone. He came up to me and kissed my face.
And I burst into tears, knowing immediately that Jeffrey was dead. Twenty minutes later, the police called; they had found Jeffreys body, hit by a car. It gives me shivers every time I think of the sweet little dog and how he communicated to me that something awful had happened. I knew he was comforting me.
