A 15-year-old girl is the latest victim of bird flu in Indonesia, bringing the country's death toll to 113. The death toll worldwide is now 246 even though the bird flu remains an animal disease. However, experts fear that the virus might mutate into a form easily passed from human to human, leading to a pandemic in which case millions could die.
