Hospitals in the UK Will Cut Down on Meat
Given the concern of greenhouse gases emission around the globe, the
National Health Service in the UK is urging hospitals to offer meat-free
menus, as well as other initiatives, as part of a strategy to cut global
warming emissions. Dr David Pencheon, director of the NHS sustainable
development unit, said the amount of NHS emissions meant it had to act
to make cuts, and the changes would save money, which could be spent on
better services for patients.

Offering plant-based menus in hospitals is good news for all
Creation. This should be healthier for patients, help reduce animal
suffering and help restore the environment. Hopefully, more countries
will follow the UK's example.
