Bald Therapy Chickens
This is the heart-warming story that takes place in Cobble Hills Farm Sanctuary, a rescue farm in Ontario, Canada that gave a new life to 20 chickens from battery cages. Although bald and miserable-looking creatures who are afraid of everything, they are already helping troubled kids to develop empathy. Once a week these chickens are being used as therapy animals to treat four boys, aged 8 to 12. "But they were already so gentle with them, right from the start," ... "They worry if the chickens are afraid or if a sweater is too tight," says Shepherd, who runs the sanctuary.
