Christensen Farms in the Spotlight Again for Animal Cruelty

Christensen Farms, one of the largest producers of pork in the country is on the spotlight once again for animal cruelty. An undercover investigation by Last Chance for Animals revealed horrific cruelty to pigs at one of their facilities. The following are some of the atrocities often in full view of corporate management:

  • Workers hitting, kicking, and stabbing animals with sharp objects and dragging pigs by their ears and snouts
  • Piglets carelessly tossed into gas chambers and left to suffer overnight because workers failed to confirm they were killed
  • Pigs with large vaginal and anal prolapses and other severe injuries forced to walk or drag themselves before being shot
  • Animals routinely left to suffer and slowly die without food, water, or proper veterinary care

Cruelty to God’s animals is abominable and certainly goes against the teachings of compassion, love and justice of Christ. The only way to stop this cruelty is to stop supporting it.
