Abortion and Animals Rights: The Connection

I find your response to Yvonne A. Hess - 18 Mar 2007 very telling. I am a pro-life, truly conservative, Bible believing mom and wife. The verse you responded with doesn't suffice her question. Your response is pre-sin, pre-redemption, pre-Jesus. Pick another one that's more compelling and relevant to the New Testament. How can you answer the fact Jesus ate the fishes and provided the fishes to the multitudes? Was he pro-war and pro-killing? If we elevate the animals to a human level, how can you rationalize wild animals hunting for food? Shouldn't we attempt to transform all living creatures to a vegan state? That would make everything better, would it?
