Dear Karen:
Thank you for your comments and questions.
The immoral part of eating dairy products from humanely cared for cows has to do with what happens to their calves. Typically the calves are separated from their mothers shortly after birth, which causes immense emotional suffering for both mother and child, and then what happens to the calves? And, what happens to the older cows?
There are similar problems with humanely raised chickens. What happened to the male chicks that were hatched with the female chicks that became the laying hens, and then what happens to the older hens when they no longer lay “enough” eggs?
We have never had any truly humane answers to these questions, and because of this, we believe that the whole issue of the exploitation of animals is immoral.
We hope this helps, and we appreciate you blessings.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
