Thank you for sharing all those points with me, Carole. I didn't realize that Little Tyke didn't live long. Clearly, we mortals have a way to go before achieving a spiritual understanding -- and active living -- of the Peaceable Kingdom!
It is heart-warming to hear of your (and your family's) commitment to the lives of all animals, of your efforts to ensure the well-being of the cats in your care, and of your willingness to try other diets in the hope they might succeed. Yes, I can see you are doing the very best for the cats. And until flesh can be made from bacteria in a petri dish (or whatever that latest technological development is called), the status quo will have to do. Thank you for doing so much good for so many.
