Dear Diane:

Thank you for your email.

When we cry and feel sorrow, as you describe, it is a sign of our empathy for the animals and the people who care about them. These situations show us that we have a soft heart, and not one of stone.

When a loved one dies, a huge part of our being feels empty, but over time this void if partially filled with good memories and other loves. As you say, it's all part of life.

Since we and the other animals are all living souls, our souls and spirits never die, but go on to be with the Lord in the spiritual realm.

And we agree that if we would let ourselves do more of this kind of connection, we would also learn to have true peace in the world.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
