What a beautiful story! Thank you for sharing it. I agree that the animals have a lot to teach us.
I do have a suggestion though. Please have momma cat spayed or at least keep her inside so she will not continue to contribute to the enormous cat over-population problem. I worked for a humane society in a city for 7 yrs, so I have first-hand experience in this area. It was heart-breaking to see cute, healthy cats and kittens euthanized to make room for the constant stream of stray and surrendered ones coming through our doors everyday. No kill shelters do not solve the problem. Their cages and foster homes quickly fill up. Then they must turn away animals because there is no room at the inn.
