In Reference to: Rat Raised by Love Birds
One can only hope the little rat will eventually have its own cage with another rat - perhaps one that was also raised by the lovebirds? Rats are mammals and as heartwarming as the story is, the two species might unwittingly transmit harmful diseases to each other.
Additionally, rats are social creatures and the little one will benefit from having another rat to snuggle with, to groom, to teach and to learn from. Rats need a great deal of "out time" to run and explore in order to satisfy their curious minds and require a specific diet to meet their nutritional needs.
Otherwise, this is a lovely story of God's love for all his creatures.
