In reference to: Why I Am Vegan

Dear Mark:

Thank you for writing and telling us about your conversion, particularly the part about living a more peaceful and compassionate lifestyle.

Sara's interpretation, which we believe is correct, is that Jesus' whole ministry would indicate that "the least of these" would also include the animals who share this world with us, even if it isn't part of this passage. Just as you were moved by the Holy Spirit to stop hunting, Sarah has be moved in her particular way.

Actually, there isn't any passage in the Bible that tell us that Jesus any animal flesh, including fish, during his physical life upon this earth. It was only after his death, that he may have eaten a piece of fish, and according to the Greek, he was offered a piece of fish and a honeycomb, and He ate IT (singular), so we don't know what He ate.

And, we agree that salvation is not a food issue, but salvation should bring about a more loving, compassionate and peacemaking way of life.
