AMEN to this article!
I thought I was the only one who ever thought these things. Our Pastor recently quit his job (He worked and preached, admirable unless you know the whole story), and informed the elders and the congregation that God called him to full time ministry. He then handed us (elders) a paper stating he would need an additional $8,000.00 per year to make his insurance, dental and retirement payments. This man is only there for his talent as a musician and speaker. Did God call him to secure his benefits too! His salary is now $45,000 per year for an average attendance of 70.
Most of these people (I do not include myself and some others) think they are supposed to worship him. Can't write all I want to...long story.
