The poor creatures lives had already been taken...remember that HH the Dali Lama always gives prayer for those poor creatures before he takes a meal..secondly Christ allowed expensive perfume to be poured over his head and feet instead of having it be sold to feed and cloth the poor. I would not not judge another without looking into my own heart to see if I am worthy to do so..and that answer will always be no. The action in itself..caused attention to be focused on the positive aspects of vegetarianism...also perhaps made those who can not yet attain to that higher calling...feel a little more valued.
