"When truth and compassion part ways, follow compassion."
Since learning that the Dalai Lama is a meat eater, I have given up on all religion, entirely. The power of its authority, whatever the brand, is not only misleading, it is especially toxic. However, the Dalai Lama is nothing if not a savvy operator. Even so, his claim that his religion is "kindness" is a staggering hypocrisy. His meat eating is a gut punch to kindness and a mockery of compassion.
