Personally, we believe that contraception can totally end hunting as a method of deer population control. The problem that you state is really a political one, or a lack of empathy for the deer, which is the reason that people hunt and manipulate populations.
We need to change public opinion.
We are not totally familiar with the production of PZP, and thus cannot properly address the pig issue, but a little PZP can go a long way in controlling deer populations.
