Hello Frank,
Thank you for your response and I utterly have no inclination to kill the deer. I am doubtful however that hunting has solely created the problem of abundant deer eating the understory of Forests and therefore severely limiting the future generations of new trees.
The deer are wreaking havoc by eating everything they can reach. One of my naturalist test questions is what is the deer problem and solution so I am trying to get this right. How does hunting of bucks create more doe pregnancies or am I getting that confused?
Do the does actually have more than one cycle of birth in a given year and are more doe's impregnated.
Because of hunting. Do the deer have more babies with more food because
they are healthier? Any detail or clarification or further insights would be
much appreciated!
Sincerely,
Andrea
