Re: Genesis 9:1-4 - A Commentary on God's Concession to Eat Flesh by Frank L. Hoffman

The commentary on "God's Concession" is a great blessing to me! I am in a Bible study at a non-denominational church and we are right at this point in Genesis. I very much had a need of this explanation! I hope to make some good comments.

Also, I have heard people say that when God created animals that Adam was given "dominion" over them. In a Webster dictionary it states that this is "control" or "authority". I guess most people see this in a negative way whereas we see it in a positive light of love and compassion.

Also, I have heard that many of the first Christians were vegetarian, including the apostle James, the brother of Jesus. Does anyone know of any documentation to support this?

Thanks,

Leslie
