I don't see how a Flood (global or otherwise) can be used to justify a reversal of a basic way things are. To say that we're given a plant-based diet, then the Flood reversed what's right for us, seems to make no sense to me.

I read that as 'grudging permission' 'because of the hardness of their hearts'

I think that Frank caught the correct message on that issue.
