Is the term 'Christian Hunter' an Oxymoron?
Comments by Damon - 17 May 2007
Oh, I forgot about that. Well, I believe that God applied that to the Garden of Eden. I also believe that before sin, every person and animal ate plant life only. However, when sin entered the world through Adam and Eve, animals and humans became carnivorous. This is further strengthened when we look at lions. They are excellent hunters. Should we be upset with them? No, they do it for food. I do agree that some hunters are very unethical; once during hunting season I saw a man throwing deer parts in a ditch on the side of the road. I was horrified at the action. He even threw out the meat. That is a terrible thing! But there are ethical hunters most every where one would go. I do not hunt with those unethical hunters who disrespect God's creation.
Thank you for reminding me of the rest of that passage.
In Christ,
Damon
