Is the term 'Christian Hunter' an Oxymoron?
Comments by Frank and Mary Hoffman - 17 May 2007

Dear Damon:

Thank you for writing back.

We agree that with sin came the eating of flesh, and God allowed it as a concession to sinful man, but it never changed his creation and heavenly intent, since there is no death in heaven.

In Matthew 5:48, Jesus tells us to perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect, and to pray for God's will to be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:10). If we are to pray for this perfection to be on earth, shouldn't we strive to eliminate as much suffering and death as possible?

Also, as Christians, shouldn't we do everything in our power to separate ourselves from the sinful ways of the world, instead of living in them?

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
