Christian Pacifism

My motive in keeping this issue going is not to insult the American people or dishonour those who died in the infamy of 9/11.  Because this issue involves the killing and tormenting of innocent people, it seems to be a fitting topic for this V-C site.  There is a common denominator - DEATH - between the killing and tormenting of innocent creatures for desirable commodities and collaterally killing humans under the guise of righteousness.  We owe it to ourselves and to the dignity of humanity to be responsibly discerning and vigilant about political activity to avoid falling to blind patriotism.  After all, V-C is all about initiating change to public awareness and ethics and should not unnecessarily confine itself to the well being of animals.

There are many points to the 9/11 atrocity which the regular media is not promoting.  The link below is an American originating petition raising some of these points. http://www.petitiononline.com/11601TFS/petition.html

In Christ,

Marijonas Vilkelis

Isaiah writes about the Messiah as being "The Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6).  Jesus calls upon all believers to become peacemakers, and says, "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons [children] of God" (Matthew 5:9).  Paul writes, "For the anxious longings of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons [children] of God" (Romans 8:19).
