The Protein Myth
Comments by Frank L. Hoffman - 10 Feb 2004
Dear Nadine:
Our bodies cannot assimilate whole protein as in flesh. It must break down the protein into amino acids before our body can use them. The amino acids are already in the plant foods.
Furthermore, we don't have to combine foods to get our essential amino acids at every meal. If we eat a wide variety of whole plant foods, including fresh fruits and vegetables every week, our bodies will function wonderfully. If you would like to see how many amino acids are in plant foods, take a look at the "Ingredients" sub-section in our Recipe section. Also see our Health Section.
We hope this answers your questions.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank
