In Reference to: 8 December 1991 - JESUS CHRIST OUR GIFT OF LOVE (PART II)
Frank and Mary,
That is a lovely gift you gave that is being re-given to us readers via Dr. Kaufman.
I especially liked the part about John the Baptist; a group of friends at my church who are studying the book of John in the Bible have just concluded a deep investigation of John the Baptist's divine background, commission, character, and acts. So I sent that excerpt from your sermon to the person who led that portion of our study. She already knows about my vegan ways, but this will cause her to consider my motives more carefully, perhaps.
And a Merry (live-filled) Christmas to you!
With joy,
Susan in Houston
P.S. I'm now reading "For the Love of Animals" about the rise of the animal protection movement in the 18th century, and am finding still more quotes about ethics-and-animals from that era to add to my ever-growing list of "creature quotes" -- which sometimes appears to be never-ending!!!! (Like Life itself!)
